Mentor Refresher Course

This Sunday and Monday, Kimberly and I are taking our CRM Singapore trained spiritual mentors away for an overnight refresher course. 27 of us will be going to a resort from 2pm Sunday until 4pm Monday. These are people who have gone through a yearlong mentoring network, then taken 40 hours of training to become a facilitator of a network, then apprenticed with an experienced mentor in a network. Quality folks who bring the kind of encouragement and support that spiritual leaders need! This is my chance to build into them as a group, and I consider it my most important ministry event of the year.

Kimberly will be leading worship and group icebreakers, and I will be teaching and facilitating group discussion in four plenary sessions. We’ll be going deeper in some of the concepts we use in mentoring – clarifying and pursuing your calling, navigating transition periods in growth and development, and three types of formations that God uses in peoples’ lives.

I am hoping God will do the work in our mentors’ lives and in us corporately of:
1. Deepening them with stronger grasp of God’s purposes for them
2. Equipping them to mentor others more effectively
3. Connecting them with each other and CRMS for greater relational resourcing
4. Mobilizing them to contribute to CRMS ministry
5. Inspiring them with a supernatural sense of God’s presence – building, guiding, and empowering us
