CRM Asia Retreat
We just got home from a weeklong retreat in Thailand with all our CRM colleagues from around Asia:
China
Taiwan
Japan
Cambodia
Thailand
and even…
Australia!
It’s been three years since we had a continent-wide gathering like this, and we wrestle with deciding whether or not the time and money is worth it. But once we get there, a lot of work and bonding takes place! Ad hoc meetings are going on by the pool and in the coffee shop all day and all night.
But the best part is the family interaction. Our kids get a sense of belonging. They know that they are related to these other kids through the same mission family. And by the second day, Cameron is exclaiming “I love CRM!”
Those are our boys in the red hats above with all their CRM aunts and uncles and cousins.
You might think all we did was take boat rides! That was probably the highlight of the week. Besides training sessions and mission business sessions, the highlight was getting relationally connected with colleagues who are doing similar work in other locations, to share ideas and encourage each other.
