Hazy Days are Here Again

It’s that time of year again, when Indonesians clear the land and burn vegetation to get ready for planting. In Singapore and Malaysia, that means unclear and unhealthy air for several weeks as the smoke blows over from Sumatra not far to the west. It is supposed to clear up by mid-October, but this past week it was especially bad.
