8 Weeks in the USA

How does one sum up 8 full weeks back in their home state?

Here’s my partial answer:

On the first morning, make a run for krispy kreme donuts.

Find the best deal on cell phones and start calling friends (get a plan that’s free evenings and weekends!).

Attend the CRM worldwide conference in Santa Barbara.
Get inspired by all the amazing ordinary people who do great things for God’s glory.

Take in the beauty of the Monterey Peninsula.

Get dirty and camp for a week at Doheny Beach with Grandma and her friends.

Make new friends and catch up with old friends while sharing about what God’s doing in Singapore and in our lives.

Gain a deeper respect for and understanding about being an American with grandparents in Washington DC. (Tyler)

Stay in a cabin at Hume Lake with family.

Find out you have even more family.
(Cameron with his maternal grandmother, + a cousin, and TWO sets of twins–siblings!)

Arrive home this week refreshed and ready to celebrate Singapore’s National Day.

We got to celebrate the 4th of July in US, and the Independence Day of our adopted home on August 9th.
The boys start school on Monday. We’ll write about ministry prayer requests another time.

For now, just wanted to say thank you to all of you who made our visit to USA so rich. We felt loved and listened to.

Fondly from Asia,

Kimberly, Jim, Tyler & Cameron
