May Prayer

Thanks for your prayers last month.
Jim had two especially meaningful weeks of ministry.

Kunming

Jim in our old “home town” in China.

April 15-21 Meeting with other CRM staff in China, and helping lead a three day seminar for 30 ministry leaders. It was a great growth time for the participants, many of whom are in significant roles of leadership, and also a good time to share and learn from other CRM staff around Asia. In a few spare moments, had the chance to catch up personally and encourage some old friends in China, both foreigners and locals.

April 26-27 Launch of a new Focusing Leaders Network for Singaporean pastors. Jim was disappointed that several pastors decided not to join, so we combined two networks into one. Jim has two new apprentices co-facilitating this network, Pastor Patrick and Dr Koh, and they did a great job at the two-day launch retreat. Praise the Lord for a good start with just the right people!

Prayer for May:

May 11 Jim leads the quarterly board meeting of CRM Singapore. They are working on four strategic initiatives they identified during two vision retreats in November and January:

1. Strengthen & multiply our Network Facilitators
2. Hold events that will help facilitators in recruiting participants and forming networks
3. Develop our curriculum for multiplied implementation
4. Developing new leaders for CRM

Please pray for Jim to grow as an organizational leader, and for God’s wisdom and provision as they build CRM Singapore.

FL Net Fac Trng 12-05

May 12-13 Launch of two new CRM marketplace leaders’ networks. Jim is thrilled that after years of running these networks, he is now seeing a big multiplication this year as 9 apprentices start new networks. Please pray for Pastor How Beng, an experienced facilitator who has been with Jim for five years now, and his two apprentices Seng Chor and Shen Kong, who will be facilitating these mentoring networks for the first time.

May 15-21 Jim will be spending the week with about 100 ministry leaders from China at an annual conference to address ways they can learn from each other and become more effective in ministry. He is on the facilitation team and has been leading the marketplace ministry track.

May 22-25 Jim chairs a group planning outreach for the Beijing Olympics. This semi-annual meeting will be very significant as 30 people from different agencies and parts of the globe spend three days together. They are at the stage of moving from planning to operation, and Jim feels the Lord has given him clear guidance on how to make the best use of the time. Please pray for wisdom and good relationships in this important gathering.

We trust that you’ll be seeing God at work in your lives this month as well!
