May Prayer

Dear Friends,
Wish you were here!
Thank you, THANK YOU for praying for us! We’re growing more in love with Jesus, we’re enjoying exciting and fruitful ministry/relationships, and are excited about the future as our faith is being stretched to take more risks and trust the Lord.

For those who want to read my prose (all 3 of you), hop over to one of my blogs. I was thinking about you all so I posted a message for you on April 15 TAX DAY. See the weblog http://charminfullbloom.blogspot.com.

Love,
K!Mberly

Praise God for a great March
2 Kim was able to briefly and spontaneously share her testimony while sitting on the Women in Theatre panel discussion about “The Personal in Art Making.” Pray for the seeds planted there.
4 Kim continues to meet Friday mornings with 4 of the Creative Arts staff of a local church to discuss and pray over Journey of Desire by John Eldredge (journal and guidebook by Craig McConnell).
8, 9, 10 Jim’s Monthly mentoring network meetings with pastors and Christian leaders. Thank God for growing rapport in these groups.
9 5Stars had an overnight retreat and began our discussions on the book Changes that Heal by Henry Cloud. Neelam, a non-Christian theatre practitioner has officially joined us for this weekly book study and peer mentoring group. She actively participates in our discussions and finds it strange and interesting when we pray for her!
14-19 Gathering of CRM International Directors. Praise the Lord for a good time of relationship-building and identifying common ministry issues in our 22 countries of service. Jim was invited to facilitate the meetings, an exciting challenge when leading a group of leaders who lead leaders!

16-21 School Holiday. Thank you for your prayers for Tyler’s solo trip to Bangkok. It was a right-of-passage success and he had a wonderful time with the Tans, our Singaporean friends who live there. Kimberly and Cameron had a great mother/son adventure visiting missionary colleagues in Bandung, Indonesia the same week.
21 Half-day Marketplace Mentoring in China seminar Jim hosted for 25 church and business leaders. Praise the Lord for good vision and synergy, and several people that indicated their desire to work together to develop marketplace mentoring approaches in China.

26/27 Easter Weekend: The family enjoyed witnessing AT THE BRIDGE, the drama that K!Mberly directed for a local church’s Easter services. It was a meaningful and memorable worship service challenging us to faith and healing in Christ’s resurrection. The directing course I offered alongside the rehearsal process was a successful experiment too. I’m still marveling that they gave me a generous gift for my work on the project. A bonus!

28 Thank God for Jim’s helpful meeting with China missionaries coming to Singapore to connect with churches here.

29-Apr 3 We had a wonderful time in Perth performing the wedding for Trevor and Joni, one of Kimberly’s 5 Stars. Join us in praying God’s blessing and direction for this artist couple who are bold about their faith in Jesus as they now sing the blues and work in theatre in Australia. Various friends came by to be with Tyler and Cameron all weekend while Loonni was here around the clock to keep them safe and fed. Thank you for praying for them while we were away.

Now the good news in April…
4 We got the keys to our new apartment. THANK YOU for praying. The LORD has provided for all our needs, and in this case, wishes too. Wow. There’s room for an office (keep praying for a Personal Assistant to come help him!). We’ll also have a guest room with private bath (when are you coming?), a pool, function rooms (we hosted a Home Schooler Science Fair on Wednesday), and it is a short walk to the boys’ new school!

12, 13, 14 Thank God for good interaction and learning in monthly mentoring network meetings.

16 Praise the Lord for a good planning meeting among Chinese ministries for the upcoming national missions conference June 15-18.

18-22 Jim traveled to Shanghai with a Singapore ministry leader to talk with Chinese and Singaporean Christian businessmen about using CRM mentoring curriculum for leaders there. Please pray for good connections.
25-30 This week is filled with one-on-one coaching appointments. Please pray for new insight as Jim helps leaders listen to what God is saying to them.

Coming in May: PRAY!
All month Kimberly will be writing a children’s musical version of Max Lucado’s YOU ARE SPECIAL for a production later this year. Pray that I be diligent and hear God’s leading in developing a script that will lead families to their Maker. This is my first commission to write a professional, hour long script and I really desire that it be well crafted to both honor and glory of God!
1 Sunday evenings Kimberly rehearses with Tapestry Playback group for another performance June 4 (which we will host in our new apartment).

3, 4, 5 Jim leads monthly mentoring network meetings, this month focusing on living out our calling in our weekly, monthly, and annual schedules.
