January Prayer

Happy New Year!
We had a great end to the year in November-December. Here’s the highlights:

*Jim’s annual conference in Thailand helped a lot of China ministries learn from each other and find ways to work together.
*Two new pastors mentoring networks started and the facilitators are growing through the experience of coaching the others.
*Friends Al & Dicki Chong from Rolling Hills Covenant Church came to spend a week with us and we held a seminar for local church missions leaders.
*Kimberly touched a lot of people on the issues of evil and genocide through her work on and in the show “Sincerely Anne Frank.” It ended it’s run as part of the Asian Children’s Festival.
*The boys ended another school year and Cameron turned 7.
*Jim spent a fruitful week in China meeting with ministry leaders and Chinese friends.
*Kimberly and the boys took a Thanksgiving trip to see her family in Georgia (we discovered that the Chinese family running her brother’s local Chinese take-out is from Kunming and had studied English on the TV program she’d been part of!).Then we had a blessed time with good friends in Virginia (it snowed!!).
*Back together again for a peaceful, reflective, happy Christmas at home in Singapore. We all are diving into 2004 with eager anticipation of what the Lord has in store for us here, and what He’s doing in and through you where you are!

Here’s how you can pray for us in January:

2 Tyler and Cameron started a new school year in grades 5 and 2. Please pray for their growth this year. Both have a sweet faith and still think mom and dad are neat. We really enjoy being parents.

5, 8, 16, 30 Jim leads Focusing Leaders networks. Please pray for his co-facilitators Alan and Jimmy as they grow in their coaching abilities, and new facilitators Lawrence and Peter as they prepare to start networks in May.

2, 6, 13, 20, 27 Kimberly starts a weekly mentoring group with four Christian women artists she met through her work last year.

12 Tyler turns 11.

12-15 Annual Singapore pastors prayer summit, please pray for our relationships with church leaders.

22-23 Chinese New Year, please pray for the leadership team Jim coordinates in building partnerships among ministries in China.

We close by sharing a verse from the Bible (Philippians 4:8). Our hope for our family this year, as well as for you, is that we will all continue to grow in Christlike character as well as fruitfulness in our ministries.

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, let me say one more thing as I close this letter. Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”

Blessing & Great Joy in 2004,

Jim & K!Mberly Creasman
